Grenada is an island country in the West Indies. It is the southernmost island of the north-south arc of the Lesser Antilles region, lying in the eastern Caribbean Sea about 100 miles (160 km) north of Venezuela. Grenada also includes the two smaller (and quieter) islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique, northeast of the mainland. The country gained its independence in 1974 and is one of the smallest independent countries in the Western Hemisphere. The First Group can help their clients to get the Grenada Citizenship by investment.

Grenada is known as “the Spice Island” for the fragrant nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, vanilla, and cocoa that flourish in its fertile volcanic soil. The economy of Grenada is largely tourism-based – over the past two decades, the main thrust of Grenada’s economy has shifted from agriculture to services, with tourism serving as the main foreign currency-earning sector. The country’s principal export crops are nutmeg and mace.

Tropical rainforests, naturally formed gorges and dormant volcanic mountains make up the landscape of Grenada, which is also home to some of the finest beaches in the world.

Benefits of a Grenada Citizenship

  • A Grenada passport allows its citizens to travel to 140+ countries including the UK, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Russia, and Schengen countries.
  • 2nd passport applications are granted within 4 to 6 months; the citizenship by investment process does not require applicants to reside or travel to Grenada.
  • Spouse, dependent children, unmarried siblings and parents may be included in the same application.
  • No taxation is levied on capital gains, personal income and inheritance taxes, nor on global income derived from outside Grenada.
  • Applicants may apply for a US E-2 visa upon further investment (from US$ 150,000), allowing Grenadian passport holders to enter, work and live in the USA. The E-2 visa is only available to citizens of countries under the US Treaty, and the visa is issued within two months making it one of the best citizenship by investment programs. With an E-2 visa, investors are permitted to set up a new business or purchase an existing business or franchise, with the option to sponsor specialized employees from abroad. The applicant’s spouse and children under 21 are included and are permitted to work and study with the option to apply for in-state tuition fees. The E-2 visa can be renewed, as long as the E-2 business is operational. E-2 visa holders can spend 120 days in the USA without being subject to taxable income.
